In this colorfully illustrated story, Sam goes with his mother to Chinatown on Chinese New Years Day to spend his traditional gift of lucky money on whatever he chooses. Despite the fun and excitement of celebration in the streets, Sam is disappointed that the money is not enough for anything he wants—until he meets a stranger who helps him see how lucky his money really is.
